With the long running history of The Dark Knight comes a very generic number of enemies that have become a part of Gotham City’s woes. Compiling a complete catalog of them along with their details and secret things would be more fitting as a book or novel so, how about taking a short look at some of the most renowned and dangerous characters in Batmans Universe.body he is a very gross creature. He is, on the other hand, a very sharp man. He sees himself as a ‘higher being’ but he is also very much of an outcast. In the sixties Batman series he was portrayed by Burgess Meredith but of the actors that have played the role Danny DeVito got it down to a tee in 1992’s Batman Returns. While we are on the subject of that motion picture there is also Catwoman to mention. Who could forget Michelle Pfeiffer’s sexy slant of the Catwoman? The character had already been played extraordinarily well twenty five years prior by Eartha kitt. Who is the rightful queen of that part is debatable.
Riddle me this Riddle me that is the call of another of Batmans toughest and most memorable criminals. The Riddler is a very clever and complex scientist that was rubbed the wrong way. After completely losing it as Edward Nygma he becomes the Riddler and as his name notes, Riddler leaves riddles or clues as to his crimes. Frank Gorshin portrayed The Riddler in the sixties series and Jim Carrey played as the last Riddler in the Batman Forever Movie.
Our last foe of The Dark Knight is Mister Freeze. His first appearance was in Detective Comics and wasn’t really considered a seriously dangerous character. Eventually, he became Mr. Freeze who is a far more dangerous character to Batman. He is a mad scientist who just so happens to have a great understanding of cryonics. To survive anywhere except for a unique refrigeration unit, Mister Freeze is forced to dress in a special suit to keep him sufficiently cold. His suit gives him superhuman strength and he uses weaponry of his own invention that harness cold in destructive ways. In Batman and Robin, Freeze was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
